Real-Life Superheroes Come in All Sizes #WATWB

I ran across three uplifting news articles today and decided to share another We Are the World Blogfest post in addition to the one I previously published August 25.

superheroes batman wonderwomanA 5-year-old boy battling neuroblastoma had the chance to become Batman for a day, thanks to a Justice League themed photo shoot that transformed cancer-stricken kids into superheroes.

Read about it here and enjoy the heartwarming video included in the article. Kids Battling Rare Diseases Become Superheroes.

Speaking of heroes, a Tennessee police officer was caught red-handed paying for a citizens gasoline in Kind Cop Pays for Man’s Gas.  I’m happy someone noticed (kudos to Knoxville resident Travis Van Norstran). I appreciate you, Officer Zack Herman. You acted honorably and with generousity.

And if those two stories don’t make you smile, check this one out after you take your pulse. Teen Thanks Dad for Being His Superhero.

Despite the water devastation Hurricane Harvey dumped or the 30 people shot in Chicago over the weekend or the … forget it, you get the idea. There ARE plenty of good people out there acting responsibly and kindly, if we take the time to search them out.

Thanks for reading this post. My readers are loyal and I value each of you!

Have a great week,

Kate
