Don’t know why but domestic violence has been on my mind this week.
Maybe because I grew up in a home that wasn’t safe … parents yelling, verbal abuse and physical fights commonplace. I can see the scenes, hear the sounds, feel the anxiety despite the passage of time.
So when I read There is no such thing as Domestic Violence by Amy Begun Saab – I had to share it with my readers.
Maybe if we educate ourselves, we can help a woman and her children escape this hell on earth. Maybe …
There is emotional healing in Christ. I know from experience that God heals the brokenhearted an binds up our wounds (Psalm 147:3). It was said ahead of time about Jesus …. “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound” (Isaiah 61:1 and Luke 4:18).
PS: I’m interested in your comments about Amy’s interview with Rachel.
