Feeling God’s Pleasure

Have you ever felt the pleasure of God?
It comes in an instant … for me, I sense Him smiling at me; I sense His pride in me at that moment.
The pleasure of God brings a deep inner knowing that He has seen your sacrifices, heard your heart cries, seen your obedience and is pleased with your hungry pursuit of him.

Feeling the pleasure of God means you sense Him looking at you; that He SEES you.

In that instant, you lock eyes and you smile inwardly that you FEEL His pleasure.
Kate, I have not heard this taught in my church. Is this even scriptural?
Why yes, friend, I’m so glad you asked! The following Bible verses are taken from The Passion Translation by Brian Simmons.
Psalm 23:3
That’s where he restores and revives my life. He opens before me pathways to God’s pleasure and leads me along in his footsteps of righteousness so that I can bring honor to his name.
Psalm 24:6
They will stand before God, for they seek the pleasure of God’s face, the God of Jacob.
May God’s glorious splendor endure forever! May the Lord take joy and pleasure in all that he has made.
So let it be the same way with you! Since you are now joined with him, you must continually view yourselves as dead and unresponsive to sin’s appeal while living daily for God’s pleasure in union with Jesus, the Anointed One.
So then, refuse to answer its call to surrender your body as a tool for wickedness. Instead, passionately answer God’s call to keep yielding your body to him as one who has now experienced resurrection life! You live now for his pleasure, ready to be used for his noble purpose.
Then he will send me to you with great joy in the pleasure of God’s will, and I will be spiritually refreshed by your fellowship.
They exceeded our expectations by first dedicating themselves fully to the Lord and then to us, according to God’s pleasure.
Since we first heard about you, we’ve kept you always in our prayers that you would receive the perfect knowledge of God’s pleasure over your lives, making you reservoirs of every kind of wisdom and spiritual understanding.
Others may not understand … but a precious few will.
But they will sense you have been with Him … But know that the Lord has set apart for Himself [and given distinction to] him who is godly [the person of loving-kindness]. The Lord listens and heeds when I call to Him (Psalm 4:3 AMPC).
My prayer for you, friends is that you would walk securely in your identity in Christ this year, your roots growing deep in Christ as mature trees of righteousness. That you would be doers of the Word, servants unto others who know their role in the Kingdom. I pray that you would find the elusive pathway to God’s pleasure. That  you would have eyes that look to Kingdom reality in each circumstance you find yourself, asking “Does this line up with the Word of God?” and if it does not, that you declare the Kingdom promise into that earthly situation, causing His Kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven.
May you feel Abba’s pleasure this year more than before as you walk in His anointing. Oh taste and SEE that the Lord is good!

Can you describe what God’s pleasure feels like to you?

What do you believe the pathway leading there consists of? I’d love to know!
