“Every attempt to estinguish the light causes it to burn brighter.” Tucker Carlson
On September 21, 2025, millions of people celebrated Charlie Kirk’s life, not because he was perfect but because he honored Jesus with his short life. As my brother in Christ and writer Lee Grady said, “I’ve never seen the gospel declared so boldly on a global stage,” and I add, BY NON-MINISTERS.

In five decades, I’ve never seen the gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed as boldly on a global stage by those not in ordained ministry. I’ve asked God for spiritual revival for forty-seven years, yup, since 1978. Listening to worship of Jesus for three hours in front of the nation’s most powerful leaders was thrilling. It reminded listeners that Jesus Christ is the King of kings, and where our focus as a nation should be. Tucker Carlson, Dr. Ben Carson, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Vice President J.D. Vance, Erika Kirk, and President Trump all mentioned the good news of Jesus Christ in their brief messages.
Journalist and conservative political commentator Tucker Carlson stated that although Charlie Kirk was a political activist, he was also an evangelist. I never saw Charlie in that light, but then again, before two weeks ago, Charlie was simply a name to me. He wasn’t a person I was familiar with. Since then, I’ve become acquainted with his views and what he stood for. I can say with certainty that Jesus was central to him over politics. I was unaware of that before September 10. Charlie Kirk was an evangelist because his worldview was Biblical, and he talked about Jesus frequently.

Do I hold a Biblical worldview? Yes, obviously so, based on all my writings.
Do you hold a Biblical worldview?
Why is this important? Whether you do or don’t forms the basis of your morality or lack of it. Period. Actions come from beliefs.
Want to change your actions? Change your thoughts first. Actions will follow.
Our thoughts direct our actions. The young man who assassinated Charlie Kirk harbored repetitive dark thoughts about what an “evil man” (his words) Charlie was. Those thoughts and words were untrue. The plethora of video documentation formed a record of what Charlie believed.

Circling back to my main thought here- evangelism. How the death of one is a seed planted from which a multitude more will sprout forth.
How can this be? This agricultural fact was explained by Jesus in John 12:24, “I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives.”
Charlie’s life was a seed sown from which a multitude of young voices will appear.
Lay People Preaching the Gospel
Those not in ordained ministry are generally called lay people or laity, which distinguishes them from clergy like pastors, priests, or ministers. Tucker used his few minutes to talk about repentance. Repentance! Imagine that – a career political commentator/broadcaster talking about repentance, a topic not regularly heard in church pulpits in 2025, sadly.
This memorial event was supernatural, one of several supernatural events unfolding in this moment, pointing to a spiritual revival underway across the globe. “Remember being in this room with the Holy Spirit humming like a tuning fork,” quipped Tucker Carlson from the podium. Attendees mentioned the tangible presence of God. I could feel it through my television screen. It was evident to those familiar with God.
“There is a low-key Christian revival in the United States. I see it all around me. It’s not a tent revival from 1923, but it’s a different manifestation of the same thing. I see it everywhere, by that I mean in conversations with people I’m talking to where people who’ve lived a totally secular life are all of a sudden referring to God or some power beyond themselves in a way that would have been really striking five years ago. I’m from a world in touch with what’s happening today. I’ve never heard people talk like that, ever, and now everybody is talking like that (about God). What’s that?” Tucker Carlson told an interviewer
I’ll answer that question. It is a sign that the spiritual realm is becoming obvious to people who have never thought about it. This is a definition of spiritual revival. People are asking the question, “Why are they doing this?” and the spiritual is the only explanation because the actions defy reason or logic.

Charlie Kirk, age 31, was the kind of person Intercessors like myself have asked God for for decades. We asked Him to raise up men and women from Gen Z (ages 35 and under specifically) to proclaim the gospel. This was why I mourned his death at first, my mind not truly understanding, but my spirit knew the cause of my weeping.
I wept at the loss of an answer to my prayers, yet, today on 9/24/25, two weeks after his death, I realize that he was a literal seed, the first of many young voices proclaiming TRUTH. His voice has not been snuffed out. His voice will be amplified.
The blood of martyrs is the fuel by which the fire of revival spreads.
More young men are returning to orthodox churches (not evangelical) today than in years past because they seek authentic, ancient, lasting, stood-the-test-of-time, unchanging Christianity. This gives me hope that spiritual revival has begun and will increase!
Call to Action (You knew it was coming)

Christian nationalism is the derogatory reference the left uses for Christians who love America. This vague leftist term is intentionally vague to cause confusion, which breeds silence. Brethren, please don’t be intimidated or afraid to engage in political, cultural, or religious discussions. It is our responsibility to engage. Not engaging allows cultural influence to be shaped by those who oppose a Biblical worldview.
Civic engagement is not our main responsibility. Sharing the good news of Jesus is. In Jeremiah 29:7, God instructs the exiles in Babylon to “Seek the prosperity of the city” and to “pray to the LORD on its behalf,” encouraging believers to work for the welfare of their community. Proverbs 14:34 tells us that “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people, meaning we have a civic responsibility to act as righteous citizens obeying laws. “Our goal is Jesus on the throne of every heart. If in the process of living our life, the world sees something that looks like Christian nationalism to them, maybe what they’re seeing is a Christian spiritual revival.” Steven Luna
Four things you can do:
1) Your prayers fan the flame of sweeping spiritual revival into a conflagration, an out-of-control wildfire of holiness. Keep praying!
2) Pray for the government of America to continue turning back to God;
3) Pray for the Church of Jesus Christ to realize her identity as the Ekklesia, Greek for governing spiritual body. That she would correctly use her Biblical authority in the prayer realm;
4) Engage in civic discourse by calling out BS and darkness when and where you see it. Be like Charlie. Speak the truth in love using respectful speech and kindness, but refuse to waver or back down. Listen to the heart of the person you are conversing with. Pray more, dive deep into God’s Word, and use social media less.
