Stained Wings

stained-wings

Jesus, it’s me

Calling out for mercy

Needing to feel your grace, again!

Separating the lies from truth,

Your truth. You are truth!

Stumbling keeps me mindful

of how desperately I need you,

your mercy, your grace.

Though my offenses are as scarlet,

You make them white as snow.

My sin stains testify of your mercy once again.

A gentle whisper reminds me,

“All the devil sees is Jesus’ crimson blood.”

Oh the blood of Jesus … purifies once more.

Help me extend grace and mercy

just as I have received them.

  1. Very heartfelt poem and wings graphix. You are trying new things and I think it works (shouldn’t we get around to repainting those wings though?)
